Golf VII GTI muffler on standard Golf. Does it fit?

Does the Golf 7 GTI muffler fit the standard Golf? Found one and I was thinking on getting it on my Golf.

Iím running the OEM GTI catback (and valence) i picked up for pretty cheap. Youíll need a small adapter to mate the stock downpipe, since our exhaust is smaller.

I am actually doing this next weekend. I have gti catback and valence ready to go. It's almost plug and play except you would need a adapter from 2.25inch to 2.56inch OD to connect golf downpipe to GIT catback. Hope this helps!

So, I ordered the muffler. It comes with valves. I can’t wait to get it installed.

Most auto stores should have part or be able to order it.
Or a good muffler shop.

I see u r in Montreal. I know Canadian Tire has some adapters. you may want to be careful as some of them are 2.25 to 2.5inch OD Which is fine on our downpipe but does not go in easily to the GTI Catback as they are actually 65mm metric size (almost 2.56inch). if you can stretch them, they would work. or like Sandman GTI suggested, local muffler shop can make an adapter for you. My local shop did it for 10$ so not bad.

you can wait to see if someone is selling used valence. however, it's not easy to find used valence.. I just order it from the dealership and if you join Club Wolfsburg facebook group, you can get discount through their sponsored dealership.

So, today I fitted the muffler on my car and it is great but I have a slight problem. The exhaust came with vacuum cutout valves and I have no idea how to connect them. Any help would be very appreciated.
I attached two photos where you can see the system and the install on the muffler.

update:
I finally installed GTI catback on my 1.8 TSI.

Most challenging steps:

1. taking diffuser out from the TSI
so many clips and it took two of us 30 min. solution -> more force just enough to not break the diffuser but we really had to pull it. also sticking very thin flat head screw driver from the outside while pulling the diffuser really helped.

2. finding a right size adapter
it took me forever to find a right size as local store was only selling 2.5inch or 2.25 inch adapter. In the end, I had to improvise with the clap to seal the gap.

Overall, it took us more time than we thought. Youtube video seemed so easy but I guess nothing really goes as planned I am very happy with the result and it looks pretty good, IMO.
