Is this measured from the flat of the hat to the surface of the rotor? If I remember, I can take one of my rotors to work and measure it.

Yea. That would work. We know that the rotor is 28mm thick. So from surface of rotor to the face of the hat (wheel side, not hub) would be perfect. The more precise the better.

I forgot to take the rotor to work, but my step-father hooked me up with an old caliper. I measured 26 mm.
