squealing noise when rolling.

Hi,

Slight issue, cars booked in end of this month but its bugging me anyway! The problem is on my GTD. My front drivers side has developed a slight rolling squealing noise like what you get with a rusty old bycicle wheel or wheel barrow. There is no bearing noise clicking or any looseness in the steering. The car seems fine albeit makes this silly and annoying noise. If you touch the brake pedal even slightly the noise disappears for a few seconds before coming back again gradually after say five seconds. I recently had the discs and pads changed. Any ideas as to what it could be?

Did you find out what this issue was? I had the exact same issue come up this morning on the way to work. Bought my car in October and have 4k.

Had this issue with other vehicles, not the golf in particular:

In one instace the Brake Discs developed a lip of rust, filing the rust off of the edges sorted this.
In another case, the brake discs were slightly warped this was remedied by getting the discs machined flat.
