Here ya go. You can select three different gauges at one time, can show altitude, coolant temp, oil temp, steering angle, and compass.

Not really. It's "free" and comes in handy when checking basics like oil temp or even "performance" readouts. I could use Torque Pro on my Android device to get more but not need for it yet.

It does say we "should" have it per the owners manual supplement. Off-Road mode combined with a P3 gauge gives more useful information. Back in the early mk6 days the early bluetooth module (9w3, I believe) did not have hands free calling(answering calls only) as stated in the owners manual and a group of TDI owners took them to court. VW installed upon request the 9w7 module(completely hands free) in all early mk6 TDIs once the courts ruled in favor of the customers.
