Heavy Duty Front Strut Mounts For Your VW MK7 -

OEM strut mounts are known to wear within a very short lifespan, typically associated with annoying squeaks and groans. The ECS Tuning Performance Front Strut Mount offers significant performance to your vehicle's handling and long term durability.

With the increased durometer over stock, the 75A durometer rubber strut mounts will better resist deflection and premature wear that commonly plagues the OE strut mounts.

This is a must have if you are installing sport springs or coilovers!

This is probably my next purchase. Anyone on here have opinions or experiences with the stronger mounts?

Has anyone installed these and want to give some feedback or a review? I'm planning on installing some VWR sport springs on my 2015 GTI S 3 door 6mt and i'm wondering if i should pick up a set of these before I install the springs

Yes I have them.
I can't link to page in my build thread now but use link below and go 1st page.
Then look for item from the list and select link.
Hope it helps. I like them. No real issues.
Some groans (mininmal) in cold for first couple miles.
Either this kit or 034 make some that look similar.
Many of the ECS parts are OE. Have VW logo.
The mounts are not VW but are well built.
I will add direct link Friday.

Thank you Sandman! I actually just spent the last couple hours looking at your posts and comments on them. I'm really debating now because the Eibachs seem to be a good compromise between the DG and VWR springs. I will most likely get the ECS HD strut mount and bearing set for my install just to be safe as i have 26k on my GTI.

Hopefully i can get some good deals since black Friday is coming up

Thank you once again Sandman and ECS Tuning

Could I ask, when changing out the suspension, which are the stretch bolts that need replacing?

Also after a few months of running them, are the ECS upgraded top mounts worth their while changing to?

Many thanks

Connor

On the spring mount I strongly recommended you use an 034 Motorsports Mount. I know I used ECS first but after 10 months I had to change. The 034 mounts perform better. Look into them. Others have and also agree. Many ran ECS first. Save you some time and money.

On the bolts to change, I am not sure I am best to suggest unless I research again. Maybe others will help. Deutsche Tuning also sells a bolt kit for this job and might help over the phone.

Thankyou for getting back to me
I have the option of track density or street density? Which is best?
Also which bolts need replacing in this process please?

Are you now talking about engine mounts?
On the bolts I would talk to ECS Tuning or Deutsche Auto.

Very similar but top one street density is for MK7. Your car. The bottom one states it fits MK5 and MK6. Not your car. Scroll down thru description. One choice for you.

See my post above on 034 mount. Did not want to steer you wrong.
