Hey All,

Excited to start my R build. I debated a long time whether I would do a build on this car but decided to go ahead. I'm going with a track focused build with the occasional autox.

The Car: 2016 Reflex Silver Golf R - Manual

The four that I have gone to are:

Mission Raceway (Mission, BC - Local track)
Pacific Raceway (Seattle, WA)
The Ridge (Shelton, WA)
Oregon Raceway Park (Grass Valley, OR)

But we have a couple new ones:
Vancouver Island Motorsport Circuit
Area 27 - BC Interior (Okanagan valley)

Who knows what I'll get to this year. Coming back after a couple years off so I'll probably start local and hit a couple others as well.

Picked up this beauty today. I have a lot of stuff waiting to be picked up but still waiting on Ground Control Camber plates to be made/shipped. Once they arrive it'll be Christmas in June.

Not too much to report but picked up and installed an 034 Motorsport dogbone mount insert. Liking the tighter feel and not really any change in cabin noise.

Also had APR Stage 1 91 program done to catch the end of the sale. Trying to be nice to my stock clutch so I'm not doing any sort of hard pulls but I've done a couple 1st/2nd gear and it has definitely livened up. I really like the increased throttle response.

One thing I did notice was some pinging with a 91/92 octane fuel (forget what I had in the car, probably 91). I've now been putting Chevron 94 in (which is still shitty fuel) to help it out.

Aiming to drive across the border this coming Friday to pick up all the parts I've ordered. Still waiting on Ground Control to get a set of camber plates made. I've been waiting on them for 3 weeks now.

Finally made a trip across the line and picked up all my goodies. It was like tetris to get it all to fit. I couldn't have fit one more item in there.




These Ohlins are beauties.



Waited about 3 weeks for these GC Plates. Very nice units. Well worth the wait.

KW DCC Delete Kit:


+ 4x Neuspeed ReS10 18x9s. No photos. Dropped them directly off at Costco to have these mounted:

won't have pics of wheels on the car until everything is installed and I've had the alignment. But I definitely will snap some.
