Tried all the tricks, no noticeable changes.Have you tried clearing the Bluetooth data? Someone on this site had an issue with phone calls, but maybe it would work for streaming audio as well.
Completely agree, plenty of other ways to listen to audio. You basically have a full android table in front of you.Bluetooth audio sounds like ass anyways, and shouldn't be used when USB & SD card are also available.
I sort of hacked the settings app and made separate apps for modes so you don't need to go through the menu to select the mode. I keep those in a side-bar to change the mode.
It will simply open the settings app and change the mode then close.

That’s great! However I’m getting a Parse Error when I attempt to install.
“There was a problem parsing the package.”
Any idea why?

That is strange. I have a thread somewhere on the forum in which I show how I kept the oem infotainment head unit and connected it together with the Android unit so I could use the mode button. Check it out if you're up for some wire splicing work.
Otherwise if the apps I uploaded didn't work then you can send me your car settings app as they may have changed it in newer units. I could then patch that one.
Wow this looks great. Can you customize the launcher? I know it's android, how customizable is it? Is it locked down or can you tweak it?
Just like tablets or phones, you can Root the radio and install anything you want. I'm running a custom ROM right now that allows for lots of tweaking, including different launchers. Here is the ROM for this specific type of radio
