Anti Freeze Spec

My 2014 VW Golf TDi uses a small amount of water. I reckon that it moves from the top of the full mark to the min mark over a period of 3 -6 months.

I have been using some Halfords ready Mixed Top Up anti freeze -colored pink / red that has been kicking around my garage for some time. . Someone mentioned to me that I should be using a VW specific top up and I could be doing damage to the engine.

On the side the anti freeze says "meets the requirements of ... VW (TL774D)

Is that the case? If so what coolant should I be using?

I had major problems with losing coolant, to cut a long story short I was told I need to use Comma G40 Xstream only. Fingers crossed but not had any issues since putting that in so maybe try that.
