Start stop system Acc control!!

Ok, press the car button the media system then view and the option at the bottom gives vehicle status, if you touch the orange colour it should give the reasons why.
I've been given two reports
Error: start-stop system
Sevice! See service settings or vehicle status in mfd
Not sure why an overdue service would affect it, the SS system usually reports more eg low battery charge or high current consumption.

Thermostat Housing Leaks
I got that message just before my thermostat housing gave up the ghost. My engineer told me that ACC and start stop are two of the systems that get shut off when the engine management system detects faults. Hoping its all fixed now. ten days outside warranty.
