This. How can someone commit to a car that doesn't exist yet and for which we have no details or know what the competition will be?

I'll buy the best car for me that fits my circumstances, budget, and needs.

Ordered an M4 ZCP last month but now I'm thinking maybe an M2 would be a better ride even though the wait for one is forever if I can get an allocation on the LCI M2.

It's more for ease of maintenance and understanding the cars mentality for me. I know these cars well and have the tools to work on them. I understand the nuances and common problems. The MKx platform had been consistently good so it's not unreasonable to bank on the next two being good also.
