A mouth watering article about APR's latest demo car: https://jalopnik.com/i-drove-a-470-hp-volkswagen-golf-r-with-18-000-in-mods-1820968655

And a solid discussion by an attorney about voiding warranties should you decide to turn your R into one like in the above article: http://oppositelock.kinja.com/will-modifications-void-your-new-car-warranty-1640756082

Then again, if you've won the lottery, you won't be losing sleep over losing any warranty coverage.

Good read, Al. Anyone who disagrees with his opinion is welcome to hire a lawyer and go to trial. And most people don't know that many jurisdictions allow the defendant to recover their courts costs from the plaintiff. When VW shows up they'll have their technical experts with them. You'll pay for them too.

I especially liked the 17-speed gearbox.

Meh i think the idea of a rocket golf is hilarious. Average Joe expects an Audi to be fast, they don't expect a golf to be.

Also if i won the lottery i would have both.

Not arguing with ya, but around here at least, most Audi drivers and people looking at Audi drivers have no idea Audi even has performance cars. It's all about the four rings, usually on a leased base model A4. There are so many of them--most of them white or gray--that they blend into the woodwork, and most folks don't even realize there _is_ an S4, much less are able to recognize one.

Oddly, they think BMWs should be fast, and the vast majority (again, leased base-model 320i xDrives) of course are not.

They're branded APR (don't know who is making them for APR), apparently will be coming out soon, with options for both forged and flow-formed manufacture. I can't remember where I read that. Maybe in the Kinja of Jalopnik?

Thanks. I noticed they have no wheels on their site and figured they were someone else's but with APR centers. They look familiar to me though.
