Thought it would be helpful to have a bunch of items listed in one place since there's a lot of info and posts spread out around various forums.

Linking to the always awesome DAP videos where I can. Thanks Paul & DAP!

FLUIDS
DSG- Every 40k - DIY Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ink6ZpYqPQk
DSG Service Kit - $181

DSG Service Kit w/o filler tool -$134

Manual - DIY Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyQVDtl6UWo
Per VW's maintenance schedule, fluid should be replaced after 3 years regardless of miles for the first time, then every 2 years thereafter. You will need 2.3L of fluid. Torque Spec is 30nm for the standard hex drain and fill plugs. 45nm if you have plugs that require a special tool.
Fluid is VW part number - G052527A2, you can also use Motul Gear300 75w90.

Performance Pack VAQ Differential (Haldex) This may not be necessary for you. Please see the DIY video: https://youtu.be/YW6b5myTgvI
Service Kit - $48.71

Oil and filter - Every 10k - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKWo6eU9ipM
MANN Oil Filter - HU-6002-Z
I buy a couple filters at time from NationalFleetParts. It's the cheapest I've found them. Amazon sells these too. Locally, I've seen them at NAPA, they were about twice the price of the link above.

The ECS/Schwaben 6.5L fluid extractor is a quality tool if you don't want to get messy and want to extract from the dipstick tube. I bought mine on eBay from ECS and saved some cash.

Coolant - VW does not have a specified service interval for MK7 cars. According to this DAP video, Pentosin, the OEM makers of VW coolant, recommend 100k flush/fill. I will do 1/2 or 3/4 that many because it's cheap, and a lifeblood in the car.
Pentofost E (or other G13 spec coolant) is the proper coolant - https://www.amazon.com/Pentofrost-H-OAT-Silicates-Violet-Concentrate/dp/B00SFD44E2

Brakes - Specified after 3 years, then every 2 years thereafter regardless of milage. DOT4 compliant fluid is the VW spec.

OTHER FILTERS

Engine Air- Listed as every 6 years 60k.

Cabin Air - Listed as every 2 years or 40k.
Basic - Mann CUK-26-009 Charcoal Cabin Filter: https://www.nationalfleetparts.com/c...0-819-653.html

Best - Mann FP-26-009 Ferocious Plus Series (Anti-mold/allergen/fungus filter) https://www.amazon.com/Mann-Filter-F...lter+FP+26+009

OTHER COMMON ITEMS

Spark Plugs - Every 60k, sooner if you're tuned.
DIY Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HESJEQBFGyI
OEM Spark plug part number is 06K905601D.
Not listing 3rd party parts as there's a lot of debate about which plugs are "best".

Wiper blades
I use eBay and buy TRICO 25-260 and TRICO 25-180 for under $30 shipped.
They work well on the MK7 compared to OEM and two other brands I've tried.

Wiper fluid
I use 20/10 Products Windshield Wash Concentrate. It's cheap and works great. You can get a bottle of this at Oreily Auto or the like. Mix 8oz/gal of distilled water. You should use distilled water as it will have lower mineral content and is also a less inviting environment for algae to grow.

as correctly noted in comments on the u tube post, the referenced DSG service is missing critical info. the level set of the plastic insert is correct only with the engine running, having moved the gear selector through all options while the engine is running at idle, within specified temperature specification, and still running. the car also needs to be level.

I did this service on my 2009 TDI DSG four times.

there is a documented option to drain, and refil via the filter hole, but I have the correct tool and prefer to follow the bottom fill.

and a note on the oil change. removal of the oil filter allows used oil to drain into the pan. so a better option is to loosen the filter far enough to let the used oil drain into the pan before draining the old oil and replacing the drain plug.
