Wheel Q - 17" -Light weight - at least 8" Under 17 lbs - Clear R brakes under $1K

I as mure the question has been asked in many forms but I have not seen an answer that answers all specifics in the title... any recommendations ? edit: ALSO try to NOT use spacers

looking for ballz out track/spirited driving.

my thoughts were: Enkie RPF1s; O.Z.ALLEGGERITA HLTs;
anyone know anything about STORM S1 17 or KOSEI K5R ? and there is the classic O.Z. ULTRALEGGERAs.

Within 10k miles i have destroyed; Kumho Ecstas; RE 71s and R888Rs - Performance wise i liked R888s the RE71s then last the Kuhmos - any suggestions on tires ? CLearly looking for bang for buck since going trough them quite a bit.

My mods is GIAC Stage 2; ST Coilovers; Wagner IC ; BB DP; all intake stuff

THX in advance - I DID research quite a bit and got even more confused .. thx in advance ...cheers guys !!!

Super light, sub $1,000 and good looking.

I use the Kosei K5R in 17x8 (~17lbs) with 245/40/17 Hankooks v3. Fits PP GTI which has same specs for front brakes. Tire Rack price is under your ceiling price.

Are we still liking the Federal RS-RRs for a dirt cheap sticky tire? I mean if you're burning up 888s and RE-71s in that short of a time frame you might need/want that level of performance, but for $100 a tire the RS-RRs might be your best bet for "budget".

Also I'd second any Konig, Kosei, Advanti Racing (Konig sister company) or TR (tire rack) wheel for something light, low cost and uncomplicated.

I'm on 17x8 et45 Konig hypergrams. Very light, 16.3 lbs. And it's a flow formed rim so they should be stronger than a cast wheel.
Not sure how much larger the R brakes are. I have non-pp brakes.
