iPE and Armytrix Active Exhausts

Hello everyone, I am looking at getting a catback system for my 2017 GTI mk7.0 and really like the sound and option of muffling when needed. I am less enthused about a controller occupying the OBDII port all the time. I guess I am mostly wondering if anyone is running the iPE or Armytrix systems and how their experience has been. Any dependability/functionality issues? How is the quality of manufacturing of the systems? Will the occupied OBDII port be an issue when I go to tune my car once the warranty is up? I also live in the Northeast so I am wondering how the winter conditions and salt will affect the valve actuators and the valves themselves. Thanks.
