New 18" Enkei TMS and TFR Flow Forming Wheels

What do you think about these Enkei rims,
will they work with my reflex silver metallic GTI ?

I'm on the fence between the TMS and TFR style.
Strom Gray or Gloss Back?

Please help me decide !

Yeah 10mm back and 5mm front optionally. Personally I'd go for 8.5" wide wheels though et45 and no spacers.

I'd do the TMS in gloss black for a silver car. Spacers as needed, slight drop to kill the wheel well gap. I'm sure the TFR will be easier to clean, but gloss black almost negates that advantage.

It’s a lot of grey on grey. Do the TFRs come in black?

Either 5mm/10mm spacers...or maybe no spacers front and some camber adjustment rear to push top of tire out 5mm. Car will stay cleaner. [emoji1303]

Could I run the stock tires 225/40 on a 8.5“ wide rim until they are done and then change to 235/40 ?

Ampliforms in the the darker grey. And yes to tires question.

Actually I do not like to clean rims, so I think to go with the TMS in gloss black

I had gloss black rims on my previous car and I had no regrets with them!

If you like cleaning rims you should get Renforms.

I think enkei pdc's would look cool but they are heavy and not flow formed. Seems I always like they heavy poorly made rims the best.

I'm not sure with which ones I will go...
But I have a general question about wheel offset (et).

On the picture above I'm currently running a flush kit (15/20mm) on my GTI.
OEM rims have 49mm offset. With the spacers they will convert my offset to 34mm front and 29mm rear. Is that correct ?

For example, if I would go with the Enkei TFR in 18x8" et45 compared to my existing setup:

Front 18x7.5" et34 -> 18x8" et45
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 17.4mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 4.7mm less than before.

Rear 18x7.5" et29 -> 18x8" et45
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 22.4mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 9.7mm less than before.

With the new set of rims I probably have to give my GTI a slight drop to reduce the wheel gab and I'm pretty sure I could live with the not so flush stance.
