^ There's also the reverse gear sensor. The hardest part of the swap is figuring out what's truly different between 5/6 speed. On a MkV 2.5(Same MQ250 as Mk7 Golf) to swap in a GTI/GLI 6 speed(MQ350 like Mk7 GTI) you needed the clutch, flywheel, throw out bearing pressure plate, axles, master to slave cylinder line, slave cylinder, cable mounts(3 of them). The gear selectors were interchangeable, which appears to be true on the Mk7 as well.
Yea, I'm hoping it's just as simple for the mk7 (As far as I can tell it should be the exact same). If it is then my plan is to swap to a 6mt when I need to replace my clutch.
Good news is the fluid is leaking from the input shaft seal based on the leak location when running the car on blocks! We may just replace the input shaft seal and clutch then give it a go.
That's good news! I was a little bit really excited to see a 6mt swap with the 1.8t , but I'm glad you might be able to recover your transmission.
