Fairly common manual transmission operation when cold. If you notice this happening, go back to neutral, clutch in and out, and try again. Sometimes blipping the throttle helps.

TOB looks normal. The PP, I don't think it will be detrimental but I would try to contact FCP and get a replacement. It should have be free of any defects.

No problem. This car is really easy to do the clutch on. If I had to do it again, I could get this done in 4 hours tops.

Being that the oil cap is $13, I'd replace it myself than go to the dealer and wait around just for them to say its normal.

I wouldn't go with Safelite, find a local company with good reviews. Smaller company's tend to care more about their work than Safelite.

Edit: I pay $600/annual for my GTI and I am 27.

DAP video is correct, GTI uses a different transmission. General concept remains the same.
