Bought a 2019 Golf R not too long ago, and now decided to build me a 500hp machine on a moderate budget. I have many parts on hand already, but shopping around for shops that willing to install customer provided aftermarket parts.

Two months ago, I bought a MBRP catback exhaust with carbon tips from @EliteRaceFab for around $690. This transaction was very smooth. From time to time they offer 15% coupon for their site.

Today, I put on 18” Alzor 628 with ET45 wheels with Nitto Motivo 235x40 tires all around. Wheels where purchased at @ECS Tuning tuning for little under $700. Tires where bought at @DiscountTires for $721, including tax, parts and labor.

So far both aforementioned companies have been great to do business with. However, ECS needs fix their slow chat replies.

Next is IC, radiator and DSG radiator.

Today, I had installed APR piping, HPA Intercooler, CSF radiator and DSG heat exchange radiator.

Let me start with fitment. We all know that aftermarket radiator and IC is a bit bigger in size, therefore engine bay becomes a bit tighter after installation. These two parts fit nicely, but a bit force is need to clip, or mounted them into housing. No modification of any kind is required, at least in my opinion. One thing though, A/C condenser doesn’t quite fit HPA IC like it does OEM one, but still does bolts on without any issues. HPA IC hoses where a bit PITA to fit on IC itself. They did fit perfectly with APR piping, though.

DSG exchange heater went on like a glove. Perfect fit.

I purchased HPA IC and APR piping from @ECS Tuning. Items where discounted around 10%. I also bought two small APR hoses from USPMotorsports with 6% off. Again, both companies have been very easy to deal with. CSF products where purchased through “Discountbandid.com” for around $864; that’s over $200 in savings.

Installation was performed by Carswell Automotive in Grovetown, GA. Chris took his time to install all for these part and did a great job. So far no issues with installation. If you are around Augusta area, give this guy a call to fix your car.

First impression. Car drives as if it’s lung capacity just increased by two folds. It’s feels more responsive and it holds gear changes a bit longer. Maybe it’s just my placebo effect.

Next on a list; KW HAS kit.
