Sorry my first post is a cry for help!
I have a 2016 Golf GTD, I had intermittent engine light with codes for Exhaust pressure control valve stuck open & closed.
Now the light is permanently on, and has code P047F00 (Stuck Open)
During my search people seemed to be able to take their valve off and use penetrative oil etc to free it up.
Mine however is welded into the front section of the Exhaust, so no way to get it off, and replacement would be the entire front Exhaust section.
Is there a way to free it without removing it?
Or has anyone cut it out and then freed it up and managed to somehow refit it?
I'm broke at the moment and my MOT is in 3 weeks! Which it will obvs fail with the check engine light on..
However the car still runs and drives fine.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!!
