vw.com/contact start a chat and give them your Vin#. They will be able to tell you.

I live and Canada and OP lives in Canada too. So don't think vw.com/contact can verify OP's question. (Don't think VWoA has canadian car's vin number.)

AND VWoC doesn't have live chat.

I dont know if youve already solved your problem but you can just put your vin into this page and itll tell you if you VW has a recall on it. I put mine in last week and it has the recall for the front stabilizers and its at the dealer to be replaced right now

Just picked up my GTI from the dealer to perform the stabilizer recall. I was advised that the Fuel line recall did not affect my car.

2x 5Q0-411-315-A Conn Link

Serviced at 5th Ave VW, Calgary, Alberta Canada.

My VIN number is over 4000 and I am not affected by any of those recalls.

Nope. Mine is 4578...

I just asked them to do it anyways as the dealer wasn't even sure.

What I was saying is that this issue is a known one and every dealer should be aware of it by now. Especially considering the fact that there is a stop-sale on the GTIs right now.

If your dealer wasn't aware of the issue and wasn't even able to tell you if you're affected (with your VIN).... then I wouldn't really trust that dealership. But maybe that's just me.
