Yeah...don't push it too hard. You can lightly suggest different cars but in the end if you push him to get a VW and he hates it/has problems with it he's going to end up blaming you. Why doesn't he look at the Sonata? It's a Hyundai, it's not bad looking and it comes in a 2.0t.

Hands down..chevy aveo hatchback. That thing struggled to get to 60mph. Also, '12 nissan altima 2.5....that damn engine sounds like a blender.
