I've been looking into this, and so far nobody on the web seems to have tried the 17x8.5+42 Heliogram yet. I messaged Konig's fitment specialists, and they confirmed the wheel fits over the GTI PP brakes (same as R). I haven't purchased the wheels yet to try but figured I'd share that.
