Found some nice wheels I liked, they're 18x8 in either et28 or et35. Was wondering if these would poke past the fender wrapped in 225's/40/18 tires?

Do any exist for the GTI or 1.8T? If not, can I make a custom exhaust that will "burble" and pop? I absolutely love the sound and from what I've read it's not bad for the car, was wondering if anybody could help me out!
